Shepherd’s Run is one of those rare venues that feels like it’s been waiting for the right love story to unfold. On a warm May afternoon, Colleen and Bo brought it to life. Surrounded by historic stonework, budding vineyards, and intentional personal touches, their wedding was both elegant and deeply meaningful.
Let's Set the Scene!
Once a 1930s manor, it has been beautifully transformed into a vineyard and boutique inn, offering old-world charm blended with modern luxury. With sprawling lawns, a restored walled garden, and panoramic vineyard views, it’s the kind of place where the moment you arrive, it feels like an escape.

Getting Ready at the Inn
From the start, the day was filled with laughter, anticipation, and warmth. Colleen’s room was full of excitement as she got ready with her closest friends and family, and there wasn’t a dry eye during her first look with her dad. Meanwhile, Bo and his groomsmen brought all the lighthearted energy you could ask for, from playful banter to the final adjustments before heading to the ceremony.
Ceremony in the Beatrix Farrand Walled Garden
Their ceremony included a ring-warming, a beautiful tradition where the couple’s wedding bands are passed through the hands of guests, infused with wishes and intentions. It added such a personal touch, making everyone feel like they were part of something bigger than just a celebration.
Cocktail Hour on the Terrace
The outdoor terrace on the backside of the venue created the perfect atmosphere for celebration, elevated but relaxed, with open lawn space and warm spring light.

Dinner, Toasts & First Dances
After cocktail hour, guests made their way into the tent for the evening’s next chapter. Colleen and Bo kicked things off with a joyful introduction and their first dance, followed by heartfelt toasts from their maid of honor and best man. The sweetheart table gave them space to soak in the moment together while surrounded by the people they love most. The energy was warm, celebratory, and full of meaning.
A Quiet Moment at Golden Hour
Before the stars came out, we took a moment to step away for some sunset portraits. The light was beautiful, the pace slowed down, and it was a chance to reset before the evening picked up again.
Full Moon and Dancing
As night settled in, a full moon rose overhead while the space filled with dancing, music, and celebration. Colleen and Bo cut the cake surrounded by cheers and laughter, followed by an evening of dancing.
Getting married at Shepherd’s Run?
If Shepherd’s Run is on your short list, having a photographer who knows the venue inside and out can be a huge advantage. I’ve photographed here before and know the best locations, lighting, and how to move through the property for a smooth, beautiful wedding day.
